Sturgeon Bay...

Ok so last weekend me and one of my good friends Patrick Erbe went up to Sturgeon Bay with our other good friend Matt Brauer. Matt is from Sturgeon Bay and he asked us if we wanted to come with, so we could check out his hometown. If you don't know Sturgeon Bay is in "thumb" of Wisconsin or the Peninsula. It was a 5 hour drive from LaCrosse all the way to Sturgeon Bay. I had no idea what to expect of Sturgeon Bay, the way that Matt made it sound was it was just like any other little town we've been to, but no. Sturgeon Bay is sorrounded by water and it is the one of the most beautiful towns i've been to. They only have 10,000 people but that nearly doubles during the summer because of the tourism. Some popular activities over there all deal with water; such as things like fishing, jet skiing, tubing, sailboating, and just relaxing on their boat. Sturgeon Bay also has a very unique thing about them. They specialize on making bodies for yachts, and Tiger Woods (Proffesional Golfer) has actually had a yacht built there. Were not just talking about small yachts eathier, they make 1,500 foot yachts for many famous people. Sturgeon Bay was also a little more wealthier city, I can't even remember how many million dollar homes we saw, or how many Mercedes or other higher end cars we saw. We had a great time hanging out with Matt's family and friends, although quite a few of his friends weren't there because they were still at college. I loved the enviornment there and am really thinking about taking a couple weeks off in the summer to take a little trip up there. I would love to get up there in the summer and take the wave runners out and do some wakeboarding. Only 10 more months to wait...

Well, I've never been to Steurgon Bay before. You make it sound like a lot of fun. I dont think I would have teh patience to drive in a car for that long though. I hate traveling in a vehicle!

Hey Scott... I just wanted to let you know I owned a house in Sturgeon Bay back in '81. It was a beautiful little lake house. I know what you mean first hand when you say its one of the most beautiful places you have ever been. When I would come back to Sturgeon Bay from my houses in Florida it was always a pleasant time. I think I will have to make another visit soon.
